Our Mission
Our mission is to share everything we have learned from our time living in Costa Rica. From surfing the famous Playa Negra, to hiking in the Monteverde Cloud Forest, to eating Caribbean Jerk Chicken in Puerto Viejo, we have explored as much of Costa Rica as we have been able to. Now, we want to share everything that we have learned with you.
Why Costa Rica
The land, the jungles, the waterfalls, and the surf made us quickly falling in love with Costa Rica. However, it was the incredible people of Costa Rica that really stole our hearts, and we have made so many dear friends here.
How We Met
Two years ago, I (Haley) was taking Spanish classes in Nosara during my three month solo backpacking trip across Costa Rica. Three weeks in, I was invited on a surf trip to check out some of the surf breaks south of Nosara by some friends.
As I sleepily hopped in the back of the car the morning of the surf trip, Rowan was also back there, invited by a mutual friend. We made some casual conversation on the way to the surf.
We bonded over getting completely pummeled in the surf, and couldn’t stop talking to each other during the drive back to Nosara.
After that surf trip, we were inseparable. We spent the next three months traveling all over Costa Rica together, exploring different surf breaks, beach towns, and eating at every soda we could possibly find.
Fast forward three years later- we’re back in the same place we met, and so excited to share our love for Costa Rica with you.
